A review published on Tuesday found the system to be “woefully inadequate” with insufficient training and resources to handle vulnerable children an이천출장샵 이천출장안마d that inadequate social workers needed to be involved.
The report said there were concerns about social workers not using the most up-to-date skills and guidance for their duty to care.
The Royal Commission on Family, chaired by Sir David Attenborough, revealed that 1,500 cases had been made to child protection agencies and councils last year but th청주출장안마e government has committed to increasing the number of such cases each year to 8,200.
Among the areas of concern about the government’s progress:
• The UK’s child protection system was inadequate to deal with the needs of children from all backgrounds but boys who are victims of sexual abuse
• Government-funded work to help abused young people is “walled off” and only “relatively limited”, including help with accessing legal aid for victims of domestic abuse or sexual abuse
• A child protection policy needs to support working with families and young people
The report concluded: “The UK is not taking advantage of the opportunity created by the creation of Family and Child Protection Agency.
